Terms of Service

Last updated 3 October 2026

Welcome to Ndi b'anyi. These terms are an agreement between you and Ndi b'anyi ("we", "us") about your use of ndibeanyi.com and our iOS and Android apps (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms, our Community Guidelines below, and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Ndi b'anyi

You must be at least 16 years old. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms on your behalf. You may not use the service if we have previously suspended or removed you.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate information, including your real name. Don't impersonate anyone or misrepresent your connection to an organisation.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • One person, one account. Organisations take part through verified individual members.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings.

3. Your content

You own what you post. By posting it, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, share and distribute it as part of running and promoting the service. Because Ndi b'anyi is a public record, this licence continues for Discussions and comments that stay on the platform after you delete your account; they are shown as "Deleted user".

You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.

4. Issues, assignments and verification

  • Moderators decide which Discussions are promoted to Issues, and how Issues are assigned and tracked. These decisions are recorded publicly.
  • Being assigned to an Issue, or listed as its owner, is not an admission of responsibility or wrongdoing. It means that person or organisation is the contact for moving it forward.
  • A verified badge confirms identity or an association with an organisation. It is not an endorsement by Ndi b'anyi.

5. Moderation

We may review, hide, edit for safety, or remove content, and warn, suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or the Community Guidelines. Where we can, we'll explain why. If you think we got it wrong, email [email protected].

6. Ads and third-party links

The service shows ads and may link to other websites. We aren't responsible for third-party content, products or services.

7. Independence

Ndi b'anyi is an independent platform. It is not a government service, a channel for official complaints, or affiliated with any political party or campaign.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". Content is posted by members and doesn't represent our views. We don't guarantee that any Discussion becomes an Issue, that any Issue is completed, or that the service will always be available or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ndi b'anyi is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by others. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be excluded.

10. Changes and ending

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using the service after changes take effect, you accept them. You can stop using the service at any time, and we may suspend or end access if you break these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Community Guidelines

Ndi b'anyi works when conversations stay focused on what needs to happen, who is responsible, what has happened and what happens next. Please:

  • Be respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, threats, bullying or personal attacks.
  • No hate. No content that attacks people based on ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexuality or origin.
  • Stick to facts. Back up claims about people or organisations with evidence. Don't post rumours or misleading information as fact.
  • Keep it civic, not campaigning. Discussing public decisions and officials is welcome. Party campaigning, vote-buying and electoral misinformation are not.
  • Respect privacy. Don't share anyone's private information, such as phone numbers, home addresses or ID documents.
  • Nothing illegal or harmful. No violence, incitement, sexual content, scams, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
  • No spam. No repeated posts, unrelated promotion or fake accounts.
  • Post in the right place. Choose the right region and tags so others can find your Discussion.

See something that breaks these rules? Use Report in the ⋯ menu on any Discussion or comment. Reports are private and reviewed by moderators. You can also Block anyone you don't want to hear from.
